I love using Mynotes on both my iPhone and Macbook Pro. It is my single most used application on both platforms, bar none, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It seamlessly integrates all my to do lists, projects, journaling, client sessions, writing projects, web research, and all other notes. A perfect blend of simplicity, elegance, and functionality make it almost effortless to stay organized. The one major missing piece is the current lack of cloud/sync services, which the developers are working on. Ive tried many other note apps including Evernote, Meernotes, Taskpro, Simplenote, Getodo, Wunderlist, Outliner, Yellingmom, SixThings, Awesome Days and too many others to list, but Mynotes is the only one Ive loved using, and never felt like I was trying to fit myself into the design of the app. In terms of simple, intuitive, self-organizing usability Mynotes is easily my favorite. When I want to write a note I cant be bothered by bells and whistles, extra steps, or any visual noise. I just want immediate, elegant organization and Mynotes delivers beautifully. The search function is excellent so I dont mind having to go into the app to do a search, and Ive found Apples system wide searches to be somewhat unreliable. Ive also found the developers to be very responsive. For example, I emailed them about how to move notes into any order I please and how to back up the data file on the mac version and they got back to me in under 24 hours with a clear, friendly answer. A few of the functions arent immediately obvious but once you learn them, the design makes perfect sense. If youre looking for something youll actually love using to keep your life organized, welcome to one of the mac universes best kept secrets.
